Örökké Egri Csillag Superior 2023 is a dry white wine from Hungary (Eger PDO) with a complex aromatic profile, harmonious structure, and clearly expressed terroir character, a combination of local and international white varieties.

Description

Örökké Egri Csillag Superior 2023 is a dry white wine from Hungary – Eger PDO made from a blend of grape varieties: Hárslevelű, Furmint, Olaszrizling, Pinot Gris, and Sauvignon Blanc. This Superior style represents the richer and more complex character of Egri Csillag wines, highlighting the terroir of the typical volcanic and limestone soils of the Eger region with its continental climate.

Vinification includes combined fermentation in stainless steel tanks and oak barrels, followed by 5 months of aging in large Hungarian oak barrels, which contributes to the complexity and structure of the wine without losing freshness. With 13.5% alcohol, the wine is medium-bodied, elegant, and balanced, with well-integrated acidity.

The aromatic and flavor palette includes notes of citrus, yellow peach, bergamot, and mineral tones that continue into a long, saline finish. This wine represents an excellent combination of terroir and style, very appealing with fish, seafood, or light white meats.
