Gere Athus Cuvée 2023 is a dry red wine from the Villány region (Hungary), medium-bodied, made from a carefully balanced blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Portugieser, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Zweigelt varieties, featuring harmonious aromas of red and dark fruits and fine tannins.

Description

Gere Athus Cuvée 2023 is a classic red wine from the Villány region, crafted from a carefully balanced blend of five grape varieties – Cabernet Sauvignon, Portugieser, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Zweigelt, which provides a complex aromatic foundation and balanced structure.

The aroma is dominated by notes of red berries – currants, blueberries, and sour cherries, with subtle spicy and oak nuances from aging in large barrels, which continues on the palate with a pleasant acidic framework and soft tannins.

Aging for approximately 10 months allows the wine to develop its full character. Its harmonious structure and fruity balance make it an excellent choice for red meat dishes, stews, or medium-intensity cheeses, ideal for everyday enjoyment as well as special occasions.
