Weingut Loimer Grüner Veltliner Kamptal DAC 2024 originates from the renowned Austrian winery Weingut Fred Loimer, located in the heart of the Kamptal DAC wine region. This wine is crafted from 100% Grüner Veltliner grapes, sourced from vineyards cultivated according to biological organic and biodynamic standards (respekt‑BIODYN), with hand-picking in early to mid-September. The loess-rich soil and continental climate contribute to the wine’s character, imparting good structure and a mineral thread.
The vinification process includes spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel tanks, without additional interventions, after which the wine ages on fine lees before being bottled in early 2025. The result is a dry, sophisticated white wine with aromas of dried pineapple, lemon zest, and lemon verbena, while the palate reveals a typical spicy “pfefferl” character, balanced acidity, and a structure that provides depth and harmony. The wine is recommended to be served chilled at 8–10°C and has aging potential of up to 5 years. Such a profile makes it highly suitable for pairing with fish dishes, chicken, and light cheeses, highlighting its quality and approachability.
