Description
Tonković Rapsodija 2019 is one of Tonković Winery’s most important wines and a top expression of the Kadarka variety from the sandy terrains of the Subotica–Horgoš Sands. The grapes come from the best vineyard sites, and after fermentation the wine is matured in new 300 L oak barrels, gaining additional depth and complexity. The aromatic profile highlights cherry, sour cherry, pomegranate, and delicate floral notes, with a subtle touch of oak. On the palate it is medium- to full-bodied, elegantly structured, with lively acidity and fine tannins, making it exceptionally drinkable despite its serious concentration. Thanks to the combination of freshness, elegance, and ageing potential, Rapsodija pairs excellently with game dishes, duck, and richer meat specialties.
