Boldogságos dűlő Egri Csillag Grand Superior 2023 is a dry white wine from Hungary (Eger PDO) with pronounced aromas of ripe peaches and citrus, firm freshness, and a mineral finish, produced from carefully selected grape varietals from the chosen vineyard site Boldogságos.

Description

Boldogságos dűlő Egri Csillag Grand Superior 2023 is a dry white wine from Eger PDO in Hungary, produced from carefully selected varietals Hárslevelű, Furmint, Olaszrizling, Sauvignon Blanc, and Szürkebarát from the Boldogságos Cru vineyard site in Egerszólát. The soil of volcanic rhyolite with a thin layer of clay soil and the continental climate contribute to its pronounced minerality and complex aromatic profile.

The vinification process includes gentle destemming and fermentation in a combination of stainless steel tanks and oak barrels, after which the wine ages for 5 months in large Hungarian oak barrels, which gives it additional structure without losing freshness. This style combines fruity notes with complexity and well-integrated acidity.

On the palate, ripe peaches, grapefruit, and citrus dominate, with a clearly expressed mineral-saline finish that reflects the terroir. Its excellent gastronomic pairing makes it ideal with fish, seafood, and white meats.
