Tilia Rubido from Tilia Estate Winery is a classic Bordeaux-style blend of 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon from the Vipava Valley. The wine has a ruby-red colour with purple hues and pronounced aromas of ripe red fruit such as blackberry, raspberry, and cherry, with additional notes of blackcurrant, cinnamon, carob, vanilla, and a subtle smoky nuance.
After fermentation, the wine is aged for 16 months in French and Slavonian oak, giving it added complexity and structure. On the palate it is full, elegant, and well-balanced, with pronounced tannins and ageing potential of 5 to 10 years. It pairs excellently with red meat, game, and spicy dishes.
