Description

Gere Villány Kopár Cuvée 2021 is a premium dry Bordeaux-style red cuvée, crafted from 50% Cabernet Franc, 40% Merlot, and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon from the prestigious Kopár, Csillagvölgy, Konkoly, and Ördögárok vineyards in Villány. The wine features a deep lilac color with burgundy reflections and an intense, layered aromatic profile that conveys the richness and complexity characteristic of top Hungarian cuvées.

The nose is dominated by spicy notes of toasted oak, black pepper, tobacco, and minerals, alongside pronounced dark forest fruit aromas, while the palate is structured and full-bodied, with well-integrated tannins and elegant acidity that balances the intensity of the aromas. The finish is long and persistent, highlighting the elegance and sophistication of the wine.

The wine was aged for 16 months in small barriques (80% new, 20% second-fill), providing complexity, structure, and longevity, with exceptional aging potential between 2031 and 2036. It is ideal for rich red meats, game, and mature cheeses, standing out as a top representative of Villány premium wines.
