Description
Rubin 2023 is a dry red wine made from 100% indigenous Rubin grape variety, one of the most prominent varietal specialties of the Bulgarian Thracian Valley region, produced from 50+ year old vineyards near Nikolaevo. Unlike international varieties, Rubin is a hybrid of Syrah and Nebbiolo, yielding a wine of pronounced character and aromatic depth.
The nose reveals intense notes of black berries, spices, floral aromas, and subtle hints of chocolate and leather, while on the palate, the wine showcases well-structured tannins and a long finish. This combination of fruitiness and elegant minerality makes Rubin an excellent choice for serious connoisseurs and lovers of fuller-bodied red wines.
The production style involves selective vinification and contact with wood before bottling, which allows for complexity and aging potential for several years.
