    Description

Makaridze Cuvée 09 2023 is a distinctive Georgian blend of 60% Tsitska and 40% Otskhanuri Sapere from Terjola in Imereti. Both varieties come from Makaridze Winery’s traditionally farmed vineyards, which focus on indigenous grapes and a minimal-intervention approach.

Tsitska is directly pressed, while Otskhanuri Sapere undergoes skin maceration, after which fermentation proceeds spontaneously in traditional Georgian qvevri vessels. The wine is characterized by freshness, minerality, and lively acidity, with red fruit, plum, citrus, earthy, herbal, and spicy tones, as well as a gentle tannic structure.

It pairs excellently with grilled meats, lamb, pork, spicy dishes, and hard cheeses, and is best served slightly chilled.
